Long explaination, then a question.

So today the kids celebrated Valentines Day at school. I had to make sugar cookies for Jackson's class. The teacher only wanted one dozen. So what do you do with the other three dozen? Well, I ate about one dozen all by myself. I can't help myself, I Loooooove sugar cookies. Is it bad that I had three of those for breakfast? The rest I have given away to my visiting teaching gals. But I ate so many that I didn't have enough for the third person i visit teach. Now I have to make more. This could be a really bad for my waist line. I also had to get cupcakes for Jackson's pretend birthday yesterday. It's pretend because his birthday is in the summer. They celebrate all the summer birthdays on some random day during the school year. Jackson, however decided to tell me the night before. I paid about twelve fifty at the local Winegars for two dozen. I have to buy them because they don't want any unwrapped candy or treats just in case, you know, I wanted to poison my own son and his class mates. So my question is...why is it okay to make sugar cookies for his class but not make his birthday cupcakes? Hmmmm, it's a mystery.
I was going to post a picture of my delicious cookies but my memory card is being temperamental and won't read in my printer for some reason. You'll just have to ask my V.T. peeps how they were.

Just a few pics from Kieryn's last photo session. Again, they are the one's that the photographer put on her blog. I don't have a scanner, so I can't put the all the ones that I picked of her. The second one is however, one of my picks. I prefer the full facial photos usually.

Sledding at the Trax station.

We decided to go sledding over the weekend, before the kids went back to school. We don't really have any hills near our house, but they recently put a trax station about two miles from us. It has the perfect man made hills for kids. We weren't the only ones with the idea. There were a lot of people there that day. These are just a few pics of the kids. They had a blast. Now every time we pass the station they ask if we can go again. It is a great activity for the kids, (tires them out) and it's free too.

Our Girls

Mailey asked if she could use some of my makeup. I opted to do it for her, since I didn't want to find broken eyeshadow or my eyeliner gone. We had a lot of fun, and even did her hair curly. I let her wear my red high heals just for fun. I got a glimpse of her as a teenager. I think I'm scared. She asked me when she could start wearing make-up for real. I told her the twelfth of never. Alright maybe when she's twelve. Ah, they grow up so fast.

This first picture is Kieryns evil smile, it just oozes stinker-in-the-making. The second one is Scott stealing kisses from her, she hates that. You can tell she's working up a scream by the look on her face. She will only give kisses if it's her idea. Scott loves to torment her. Kieryn in the tub, isn't she cute? I love it when they start to play and have fun in the tub. When she was smaller, she'd scream her head off. She has the funniest expressions.

Yesterday was Scotts thirty fifth Birthday! Thanks Hon, for all you do for us you are the best. We love you!

Bah humbug!!

We got our Christmas tree up finally. I usually put it up the day after Thanksgiving at the latest. most of the time it is the week before. This year I just didn't feel like doing it. This year has gone by so fast that it doesn't even seem like Christmas time. Christmas isn't my favorite time of year, but it is my kids favorite time. Scott told them all that I was going to put it up today, and they wouldn't stop bugging me until I did. I am very particular about how I want it decorated, and usually do it without the kids.(I'm a control freak, I know.) This time I didn't care, and let them just put anything up they wanted. It turned out pretty good and they are all very proud of their decorating abilities. Just ignore their goofy faces.
