A bad night and then some.
So we went to St.George last Sunday. It. Was. Hot. I got a cold, Cole got a cold, Mailey got a cold, and so did Scott. How is that possible? It seems backwards-no? We stayed at the Ramada, for the first night. I have a sister who lives there but my parents were staying with her. I don't sleep well away from home. Kieryn does not sleep well away from home. We all shared a room. Kieryn cried from about ten until eleven p.m. Then when I thought she'd finally fallen asleep, I closed my eyes and drifted into almost a slumber. Every fifteen minuets she'd scream like a bottle rocket and send us all into the ceilling. Man, where do my kids get that genetic anomaly? It's not really even human the way they scream. Anyway after about ten times of that torture, I couldn't sleep at all. I tossed, I turned, I sweat, and couldn't breath out of my nose. Some members of my family started a harmony of heavy breathing. That was helpful too. At about four a.m. I zonked. About an hour later, I was roused with a tickling up my arm. I brushed it away, still groggy, and went back to sleep. Five minuets later, that tickle was back only on my neck. This time I shot up grabbing the impostor and tossing the unknown creature across the room. It felt big,I screamed. Now I know where my offspring get it. So now I had the hebbies, and there was no way I was going back to sleep. I made Scott get up and help me search for the offender. We found it, it was a cockroach. It still makes me shutter, I am all itchy just writing about it. Now I know your thinking that the Hotel was a dive, but it wasn't I assure you. Just F.Y.I though, don't stay there. When I complained to the Manager, this is what she told me. "Just so you know, cockroaches are all over St. George." Not, I'm sorry we'll give you a discount or we will comp your room, or give you a free night. Really!? Have they never heard of pest control? I don't care if they have a whole nest of roaches living in the yard they should not be crawling all over me in my hotel room. Jeez people, when did the rule the customer is always right die? I am severely disappointed, and totally grossed out. Let's just say I am tramatized and am not sure I can ever stay in a hotel again.

Yay, pictures!

I've been waiting forever for these pictures. I love this first one, with the cute leg warmers. The last one is the panel that they gave me of all her pictures from 3 months to twelve. At Kieryns 12 Month check up she weighed 19 pounds, so I was close to what I thought she would be. She can say Kitty, Hi, ball, daddy, and mamma. She loves animals and thinks that they all say what the doggy says. She can point to what she want's and screams like a champ too. She can walk about five to ten steps but prefers to hold our hands to walk. If I am sitting down, she will grab my hand and try to pull me up so I can walk her around. My sweet baby girl, is getting so big.

Eating Out.
Take a Hike!
Pony tails and eating ice.
Kieryns hair is getting long enough for ponies. Yay! It takes forever to get them in though. She is a wiggler, so I don't put them in very often. It's not worth the fight. She also loves to eat ice. Whenever I have a drink with ice in it, she puts her hand in my drink to fish out the ice. I now just give her a cup of crushed ice (to limit choking) and she's content for up to thirty minuets. Wierdo.

I can't believe that it has been a whole year already. I knew it would go fast, but it seems the older I get the faster time fly's. Kieryn has become such a fun little girl. Just the last month her personality has come out. She is a sweet baby, and gives us Lot's of Love's and kisses all the time. She can sure belt out a scream if she doesn't like something- (Just like the rest of our babies. It is genetically ingrained in the womb.) She loves being in new places, and seeing new people. When I am at a store and someone is by us she grunts or screams until they look at her. It can be a bit embarrassing sometimes, but still pretty funny and cute. She still does not sleep through the night unfortunately, and I am suffering from a year of sleep deprivation. It is a good thing she's my last one. Kieryn is also my smallest baby. She only weighed eighteen pounds about a month ago when i took her in for a sick visit. I haven't taken her in for her year appointment yet, but I think she'll be around the twenty pound mark. That may not sound so small for some of you, but for us it is puny. All my other kids were around twenty pounds at about six to seven months. I will post her stats when I get them. Until then, enjoy the slide show!
